You asked
I understand that London Underground Customer Service Supervisors are expected do a stress test(Bruce protocol) when returning to work after cardiac event. I would like to know,
1) What is the accepted lowest level in Bruce protocol to work as a Customer Service Supervisor (CSS) with London Underground?
2) What happens if a CSS could be able to do only Bruce protocol stage 1?
3)What happens if a CSS could be able to do only Bruce protocol stage 2?
4)What happens if a CSS could be able to do only Bruce protocol stage 3?
5)What happens if a CSS could be able to do only Bruce protocol stage 4?

TfL’s Occupation Health department uses its clinical judgement to decide on the implications of staff returning to work after illness, based on their clinical history. In general, they benchmark using the DVLA group 2 standards which are outlined here:
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/appendices-assessing-fitness-to-drive#appendix-c-cardiovascular-considerations (for safety critical tasks, employees should be able to complete Stage 3 of Bruce Protocol). However, there are no hard and fast rules as it depends on the clinical condition of the staff member, with decisions being made on an individual, case by case basis.
