You asked

Dear Sir/Madam We have received a claim in relation to a chamber positioned outside Riverside House, Southwark Bridge Road, London, SE1 9HA that was covered over sometime between 1 June 2022 and 31 March 2023. We have attached a Google Street Maps image of the chamber in question for reference. By way of background, FMC undertook a make safe in March 2023 to reinstate the asphalt to the side of the chamber however it is clear from the below photograph that there was an existing piece of HRA over the chamber lid prior to this make safe: I should therefore be grateful if you could please provide information on all works near and around said chamber between 1 June 2023 and 31 March 2023 including any reactive works that the Council may have ordered and/or any Section 81 Notices that the Council may have issued to the respective utility owner, that being Colt Technology Services.

TfL Ref: FOI-2952-2324

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 15th November 2023 asking for information about road works on Southwark Bridge Road.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

Specifically you asked:

I am afraid that TfL does not hold the requested information as the road in question is not part of the Transport for London Road Network (TLRN – sometimes known as the ‘red routes’ – see here for more information: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/red-routes).. Rather, this road is managed by the local authority. You may therefore wish to redirect your request to the London Borough of Southwark. FOI requests to Southwark can be made via its website here:

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
