Hi there,
As I understand it, several Jubilee line trains have been taken out of service as a result of fatigue cracks being discovered on certain parts of their underframes. I would be very grateful if you could tell me if permanent repairs have been completed across the whole fleet now?
If not, when do you anticipate the repairs will be complete? Will the service improve upon completion?
As a regular user of the line, the service has been poor and severely overcrowded in the peak for a very long time now.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 14th November 2023 asking for information about repairs to Jubilee Line trains.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act / Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:

I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
Permanent repairs on the Jubilee line 96TS underframe cracks have not yet started. A temporary repair process and management plan is in place. We anticipate permanent repairs will be completed in 2027. The underframe cracks are having little or no impact on the Jubilee Line service offering so we do not anticipate any changes to service as a result of completion of permanent repairs.
