Dear Transport for London, The data table that is provided by DfT below gives the total number of taxis in London. I wonder whether you have taxi numbers by London boroughs separately. Ideally, I need the versions up to 2001. TAXI0104: Taxis, Private Hire Vehicles (PHVs) and their drivers: England and Wales by licensing area

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 23 March 2022 asking for Taxi numbers by London boroughs.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

Unfortunately we do not hold the information you require.

We publish licensed drivers by postcode information here: https://content.tfl.gov.uk/taxi-and-private-hire-driver-partial-postcode-data-october-2020.pdf

However, this is a ‘snapshot’ of the licensed drivers at this time. We do not hold previous years so we are unable to provide the versions up to 2001 as requested.
