TfL Ref: FOI-2927-2122
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 17th March 2022 asking for information about our IT hardware.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
I can confirm that we hold the information you require. However, having liaised with our Technology and Data team I understand that it would exceed the costs limit set out under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act to source all of the information to answer your questions. Under section 12, TfL is not required to provide information if it would cost more than £450 to determine if that information is held, and to then locate, retrieve or extract it from elsewhere. This is calculated at a rate of £25 per hour. The costs limit largely applies on account of your questions 2 and 3. This information has not been collated before, is not readily to hand and there is no quick or efficient way of sourcing it. In order to do so the information would have to be drawn from across a number of different teams and business areas, which it is not possible to achieve within the £450 limit.
In order to bring your request within the costs limit you may wish to narrow its scope and focus on the information that is of most importance to you. For example, I understand that if your request was restricted to question 1 only then this is information that we would be able to source within the appropriate limit.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely,
David Wells FOI Case Officer FOI Case Management Team General Counsel Transport for London
