We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-2874-2223 Thank you for your further request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 4th February 2023 asking for information about ULEZ cameras. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. Specifically you asked, further to case reference FOI-2587-2223: “I wish to know how the cameras from my previous request are powered & ultimately who is paying for this power to your cameras please.” I can confirm that we hold the information you require. All power requirements for ULEZ cameras will be provided, maintained and paid for by TfL. Power will be drawn from the electricity service provided in the area. This will either be via existing power supply in the case of cameras on traffic signals (which is the case for the cameras at the junction of the A232 & A237 at Wallington Green), or via a new power supply that is owned and maintained by TfL. If this is not the information you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me. Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed. Yours sincerely, David Wells FOI Case Officer FOI Case Management Team General Counsel Transport for London
