We answered

TfL Ref: 2868-1920

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 19 December 2019 asking for information about Victoria Embankment.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require

Our contractor had confirmed to us that all reinstatement works had been completed by 16 November, which we took in good faith. However as you have identified by 20 November this still wasn’t the case.

On investigation with our contractors we have realised that there was a misunderstanding of dates and the work started on 16 November rather than being completed, which lead to the week’s delay mentioned. Once works started they did take several days because as well as the wands being reinstated, other street furniture including islands on the Embankment and traffic signals also had to be restored.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
