Thank you for your request received on 9 January 2018 asking for information about passenger numbers for stations in the EC and WC postcode areas.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require.

Please find attached two files with the latest available annual counts for London Underground, one with the average entries by quarter hour by station and the other with the exits.

Please note the following:

• The file includes all London Underground stations as well as Bank station (also served by DLR), as this is how the information is recorded (not via postcode area). The required stations can be filtered for any required analysis.
• We do not hold information for mainline rail stations
• There is one London Overground station (Shoreditch High Street) in the requested area, however we do not consider this a major station
• Although the “Date” field in the file may sometimes show dates prior to 2016, that only means that the values for that station were scaled up from previous counts because engineering works, closures or disruptions did not allow a robust counting in the current year, but all the VALUES are representative of 2016.
