Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 January 2018 asking for information about station toilets.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we do hold the information you require. You asked:

1. How many stations at the London Underground charge to use their toilet facilities? (Please provide a list of stations and the fee, if possible).

2. How much money did TfL accumulate from toilet charges at its stations? (Please provide a breakdown, if possible).

3. What is the money raised from these fees spent on, and how will this year’s some be used?

Please see the attached file containing the information you have requested. As a timeframe was not specified we have provided this information from the beginning of the financial year to the date of your request. The fee for use of these facilities is 20p.

The revenue collected from these facilites is deposited along with our other revenue streams to be utilised as appropriate. We estimate that the cost of maintenance and upkeep of our public facilities is around £7,500 a year per toilet facility.
