Please provide statistics for year to date and all preceding years for which records are available for: The number of travelcard holders whose zones cover at least zones 2 to 3 - but excluding all travelcards which include zone 1 - who have been charged for entering zone 1 when changing trains at either Wood Lane or White City (in any direction of travel) as they did not tap in/out on the pink reader at West Brompton. For example: A trip from Notting Hill Gate to Wimbledon on a zone 2-4 travelcard changing at White City and Wood Lane but being charged for entering zone 1 - even though the journey never took them through that zone - as they did not touch the pink reader at West Brompton.

Detailed information of this nature is only held for the last 8 weeks and so we are unable to provide information beyond this timeframe. However, we can confirm that within this timeframe there is on average one journey per day where a Travelcard user without Zone 1 validity is charged a Zone 1 pay as you go extension fare for a journey involving an interchange between Wood Lane and White City, as described in the request.

Travelcard holders can request a refund if they are incorrectly charged for travelling outside of their zonal validity
