Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 1st February 2023 asking for the Swan Lake 2023 poster from the English National Ballet, as seen on the London Underground.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Please can I request the Swan Lake 2023 poster from the English National Ballet at the London Colosseum. I’ve seen it up at King’s Cross and the escalators at Piccadilly Circus.”
I am afraid we are not able to provide a copy of this advert. Posters displayed on the TfL network are managed by our Media Partner, Global. However, neither TfL nor Global own the rights to the posters and so we cannot issue copies without the owner’s permission (in this instance the National Ballet). Further, note that the Freedom of Information Act covers requests for recorded information only, and not assets such as hard-copy posters. Given TfL does not own the rights, a digital copy of the poster is exempt from disclosure under section 41 of the Freedom of Information Act on the basis that it constitutes information provided in confidence.
