Thank you for your clarified request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 December 2019 asking for information about Euston Underground Station.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require with regards to Euston Underground station only. We are not responsible for Euston Rail station and therefore do no hold any relevant information.
- The number of occasions upon which Euston Underground station has been closed, in the last five calendar years, on a year by year basis:
- As a result of, or in connection with, the overcrowding of the station;

We have carried out a search for complaints recorded for Euston station, and the complaints categories: ‘Accidents, Safety & Security’; ‘Station: Built Environment’ and the most obvious ‘Crowding - Station‘. This returned a total of 65 complaints. These were then manually checked to see which were relevant and referred to overcrowding. 11 were complaints associated with overcrowding – see below table:

Please see the attached documents from a Congestion Workshop took place with Euston Station staff in 2017.
- Copies of any official complaints to TfL that refer to, directly or indirectly, to overcrowding at the station.
