-the number of unplanned station closures at Hampstead station over the past 6 months, with the reason given and duration of closure if recorded (or seven 4 week TfL reporting periods if the data is recorded in this way)
-the number of unplanned station closures at Tufnell Park station over the past 6 months, with the reason given and duration of closure if recorded (or seven 4 week TfL reporting periods if the data is recorded in this way)

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 7th March 2022 asking for information about unplanned closures of Hampstead and Tufnell Park stations.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Under the terms of the FOI Act, please may you provide the following:
-the number of unplanned station closures at Hampstead station over the past 6 months, with the reason given and duration of closure if recorded (or seven 4 week TfL reporting periods if the data is recorded in this way);
-the number of unplanned station closures at Tufnell Park station over the past 6 months, with the reason given and duration of closure if recorded (or seven 4 week TfL reporting periods if the data is recorded in this way);
-the minimum staffing requirements for Hampstead and Tufnell Park stations.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
The attached spreadsheet is provided in answer to the first two questions. It contains a worksheet for each station, as well as some explanatory notes. The closure duration is shown in minutes.
In answer to the third question, the informtion is as follows:
The minimum numbers for Hampstead are;
- 1 Customer Service Manager / Customer Service Supervisor - 2 Customer Service Assistants
These are for traffic hours (i.e. when trains are running) every day.
The minimum numbers for Tufnell Park are:
Monday to Friday = 1 Customer Service Manager / Customer Service Supervisor, plus:
1 Customer Service Assistant between station opening time and 0700; 2 Customer Service Assistants between 0700 – 1000 1 Customer Service Assistant between 1000 and 1600 2 Customer Service Assistant between 1600 and 1900 1 Customer Service Assistant between 1900 and station closing time
Saturday and Sunday = 1 Customer Service Manager / Customer Service Supervisor, plus 1 all day Customer Service Assistant
Night tube = 1 Customer Service Manager plus 1 Customer Service Assistant.
