TfL Ref: FOI-2774-2122
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6 March 2022, asking for information about vehicles in the Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. You asked:
Please would you supply the total numbers of vehicles from the postcode areas SO (Southampton), PO (Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight) and BH (Bournemouth) which accessed the London ULEZ from the beginning of November 2021 to the end of January 2022, and the number of PCNs issued during the same period to drivers in the same postcode areas.
When a vehicle is driven in the ULEZ we do not record the registered post code of the vehicle and therefore we do not hold the information for this part of your request.
ULEZ penalty charge notices (PCNs) are issued to the registered keeper of the vehicle as held by the DVLA. The table below shows the number of ULEZ PCNs issued between 1 November 2021 and 31 January 2022 where the registered keeper of the vehicle resides in postcode areas SO, PO or BH.
