Thank you for your request received on 2 January 2018 asking for information about entries into the Congestion Charge Zone.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require. You asked:

Please inform me, In 2017, the number of Taxi's and Private Hire vehicles entering congestion charge zone by daily average (per month), & monthly total of taxi/ph that entered congestion zone at least once (unique) also if costs permit can you provide the same figures for they corresponding period in 2016

The table below details the number of taxis and private hire vehicles observed being driven in the Congestion Charging zone on a daily and monthly basis from January 2016 to October 2017.

As per your request the figures are unique vehicle registrations. Therefore if a vehicle is observed several times in any day or month it is only counted once.
