Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 2 March 2022 asking for information about Croydon Active Travel Fund applications.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require. TfL did receive a funding request from London Borough of Croydon for all the listed schemes in your request (see below for the replicated list). TfL granted the funding either in part or in full. To explain further, once schemes are approved by TfL, boroughs are allocated funding which is claimed in arrears after the close of the financial year.  Boroughs are required to submit a claim detailing spend for the year, and may be audited by TfL to confirm that project outputs match those described by the funding application, and that the project spend is accurate. The schemes are as follows:

  • HEALTHY NEIGHBOURHOODS: Holmesdale Road LTN / HN.
  • HEALTHY NEIGHBOURHOODS: Albert Road LTN / HN.
  • HEALTHY NEIGHBOURHOODS: Elmers Road LTN / HN.
  • HEALTHY NEIGHBOURHOODS: Dalmally Road LTN / HN.
  • RECONNECTING OLD TOWN CROYDON LIVEABLE NEIGHBOURHOOD -Parsons Mead LTN / HN (Broad Green 1).
  • Healthy Neighbourhoods - Sutherland Road LTN / HN (Broad Green 2).
  • Crystal Palace 1 Healthy Neighbourhood (Auckland Road).
  • Selhurst Healthy Neighbourhood 1 (Sydenham Road).
  • Selhurst Healthy Neighbourhood 2 (Dagnall Park).

Please also note the comments below on the following additional schemes:

  • Davidson Road / Kemerton Healthy Neighbourhoods – funded.
  • Clyde Road -Bingham Road Healthy Neighbourhoods – not currently funded; the request was previously rejected due to lack of funds. The request has been resubmitted and is currently being assessed for 2022/23.
  • Melfort Road Healthy Neighbourhoods – not currently funded, but an application is currently being assessed for 2022/23.
  • Two other requests for funding in 2022/23 have been submitted - each for an undisclosed Healthy Neighbourhoods scheme.
