Thank you for your Freedom of Information request received on 20^th January 2019 asking for information about the number of employees at TfL by age.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Your questions are answered in turn below:

Question 1: The number of employees of the organisation under 16 years of age.

Answer: 0.

Question 2: The number of employees of the organisation between 16 - 18 years of age.

Answer: 39.

Question 3: The number of employees of the organisation over 18 years of age.

Answer: 26,680.

Note that this data is correct as of 22^nd January 2019 and that it is based on direct employees only (contractors, agency or third party staff are not included as we do not hold age information for those staff).
