Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25 February 2022 asking for information about software systems used by Crossrail Ltd. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act . and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Your questions and our replies are as follows:
Which Human Capital Management (HCM) or HR system do you currently use? What is the value & expiry date of your current contract/licence? What are the extension options? How many HR system users do you have? We currently use a system for HR called HRPRO and the current contract expires on 30 June 2022. We are not renewing this contract due to the decreasing number of Crossrail employees as the project nears completion. The value of the extension of the licence for the 12 months up to June 2022 is in the region of £100k – 150k which includes an annual maintenance fee. We don’t hold an exact figure for the number of users at any one time, as this will fluctuate depending on the needs of the business.
Which Finance systems do you currently use? What is the value & expiry date of your current contract/licence? What are the extension options? How many finance system users do you have? The Crossrail finance system is fully integrated with TfL - TfL use the SAP system for all their business processes. This includes but not limited to Finance, Procurement, Payroll and HR services. We have a blended contract where we have separate agreements for the i) software and licencing, ii) functional support and iii) technical support. These contracts have different values, end dates and extension/renewal options. TfL has a user base of 20,000+ users.
Which Payroll systems do you currently use? What is the value & expiry date of your current contract/licence? What are the extension options? How many Payroll system users do you have? Do you outsource your payroll? If so who do you partner with? In terms of payroll we outsource to a company called ADP and we have ongoing contract with them to the end of project. The value of the ADP contract is around £25k per year. We don’t hold an exact figure for the number of users at any one time, as this will fluctuate depending on the needs of the business.
How many employees do you have? The current CRL Headcount is 211 employees.
