Your reports states "Although London now complies with limit values for PM10, continued reductions to ambient concentrations will bring further significant health benefits. Achieving this is however difficult, given that about 88 per cent of London’s road traffic emission now arises from vehicle brake and tyre wear and resuspension, with only limited technological options for improvement currently available." What is the source and details behind the 88 per cent figure quoted?

What is the source and details behind the 88 per cent figure quoted?

I can advise that the source of this data is the London Atmospheric Emissions Inventory (2013 update), which is available via the London Datastore at: https://data.london.gov.uk/dataset/london-atmospheric-emissions-inventory-2013).This link takes you to the opening page, whilst the data files and documentation can be downloaded from the various other links in that section. Plus, a further breakdown of these numbers is given in section 6.9 on page 158 of the Travel in London 10 report.
