How may (if any) Mini's have been granted exemption that are younger than 40 years old

Request ID: FOI-2728-1920
Date published: 07 January 2020

You asked

I have a 1990 Rover Mini 998cc (not yet 40 years old) and wonder whether anyone that has produced an independant CoE to TfL has been granted exemption on a mini younger than 40 years of age making their car exempt from the T-charge. Thanks.

We answered

Our ref: FOI-2728-1920/GH

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8 December 2019 asking for information about the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ).

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.

The T-Charge was the forerunner for the Ultra Low Emission Zone and, other than for residents of the Congestion Charging zone,  has not been in operation since the 8 April 2019.

When we update a vehicle record to make it compliant with the T-Charge or ULEZ we only record the vehicle registration and not the make and model of the vehicle. We therefore do not hold this information.

If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.

Yours sincerely
