The location was heading southbound on Baker Street towards Marylebone Road. Specifically, the diversion asked drivers to turn right onto Melcombe Street and then left onto Gloucester Place. Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 29th March 2021 asking for information about a diversion on Baker Street on 21st February 2021.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:

I have checked with our Streetworks team who have no record of any works being underaken on these roads between 16th February - 11th March 2021. We do hold a record of emergency gas works on Park Road at the junction of Lodge Road between 26th February and 8th March with a diversion in the same general area - details are attached. If this is not the information you require then possibly the local authority may hold the information as not all of Baker Street is on the Transport for London Road Network. FOI requests to the City of Westminster can be made via its website here:

If you are considering submitting a further FOI request to TfL please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
