I’m writing in regard to a conversation that took place in 2020 with xxxxx a customer care advisor for TFL. I was told that TFL could assist me in retrieving information about possible bus routes that took place on the 5th of February 2015. On the 5th of February 2015, London would face a national bus strike which would result in limited to no services throughout the capital. 1.I’m trying to establish on the 5th February 2015 between the hours of 9.00 am to 1.00 pm whether there was a bus service running from Ashburnham Tower London, SW10 OEE to Gipsy Hill London SE 19 1NL? 2. Could you tell me all the potential bus routes starting with the most direct from Ashburnham Tower London SW10 OEE, to Gipsy Hill London SE19 1NL on the 5th February 2015 between the hours of 9.00 am to 13.00 pm. Would you have a list of bus routes, journey times, and the estimated time it would take to arrive at SE 191NL on that day? 3. Would you know whether there was a service running on that 5th of February from Evans Road London, SE1QG Hither Green to Crystal Palace London SE 19 2A7 between the hours of 10.00 am to 12.00 pm? 4. Also was there a bus service running from Crystal Palace Bus station London, SE 192A7 T to Lewisham High Street, London SE13 6LH. Would you have an estimated time how long it would take to get to Lewisham High Street? Because the information I requested is a matter of urgency, could someone confirm via email that you have received my message.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 21st February 2022 asking for information about buses running on the 5th February 2015.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

You wrote: On the 5th of February 2015, London would face a national bus strike which would result in limited to no services throughout the capital.

Question 1. I’m trying to establish on the 5th February 2015 between the hours of 9.00 am to 1.00 pm whether there was a bus service running from Ashburnham Tower London, SW10 OEE to Gipsy Hill London SE 19 1NL?

Answer: There is no direct bus service between these two locations, nor there was one on the 5th February 2015.

Question 2.

Answer: The journey was possible with one change: travelling on the 345 to Brixton and then changing onto the 322. On the 5th February 2015 route 345 operated only 4.05% of service, while the 322 operated 43.81% of service.

Alternatively, it was possible to travel on the 11 to Westminster, changing onto the 3 to Gipsy Hill. On the 5th February 2015 route 11 operated 88.37% of service, while route 3 operated 80.57% of service. The possibility of such journey was higher, however the buses might have been heavily overcrowded.

Various other journeys with multiple bus changes were possible. We do not hold an “estimated time” for 5th February 2015.

Question 3. Would you know whether there was a service running on that 5th of February from Evans Road London, SE1QG Hither Green to Crystal Palace London SE 19 2A7 between the hours of 10.00 am to 12.00 pm?

The journey was possible with one change: travelling on the 124 or 284 to Catford and then changing onto the 202 to Crystal Palace. On the 5th February 2015 route 124 operated only 3.32% of service, the 284 operated 50.96% of service, while the 202 operated 5.09% of service. Various other journeys with multiple bus changes were also possible.

Answer: Route 122 runs between these two locations, although on the 5th February 2015 it only operated 4.64% of service. We do not hold an estimated journey time for 5th February 2015.
