1, In the last 12 months how many TFL Licenced Private Hire Drivers have you declined to renew their licence with just 6 points on their driver’s licence.
2, Can you breakdown this number down by ethnicity.

Thank you for your further request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 29th October 2023 asking for information about Private Hire licences.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“1, In the last 12 months how many TFL Licenced Private Hire Drivers have you declined to renew their licence with just 6 points on their driver’s licence.
2, Can you breakdown this number down by ethnicity.“
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
Colleagues in our Taxi and Private Hire team have reviewed the information held and report that to answer your questions they would need to manually review around 150 individual records. They estimate to that locate, retrieve and extract the information requested would take in the region of 12-15 minutes per record. Even at the conservative end, to review all 150 individual records would therefore take 30 hours. Your request is therefore being refused under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act. Under section 12, TfL is not obliged to proivde information if it woul cost more than £450 to determine if the requested information is held, and to then locate, retrireve or extract it from elsewhere. This is calculated at a rate of £25 per hour, equivalent to 18 hours work.
In order to bring your request within the costs limit you may wish to narrow its scope further.
