You asked
Dear FOI team,
Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to know the number of times that the police were called to a Tube station to deal with persons behaving inappropriately on the Tube due to alcohol usage or drunkenness over the last year, and any other years if the data is available.
Thank you.
We answered
Dear
Thank you for your e-mail received by Transport for London (TfL) on 20 December 2017 asking for information on alcohol related incidents on the Tube.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and TfL’s information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold data relating to calls to British Transport Police (BTP) regarding the matters described in your request. Please contact BTP directly as they will be best placed to provide the information required: http://www.btp.police.uk.
Our alcohol awareness campaign, launched in December, reminds Tube users to take care after drinking alcohol.
Please accept our apologies that we are unable to assist you further on this occasion.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
