TfL Ref: FOI-2698-2223 Thank you for your further request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 24th January 2023 asking for information about the staff disciplinary process. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. Specifically you asked: “How many employees were subject to the disciplinary process in all its forms in 2021-22, along with reasons and outcomes (i.e. case dismissed, written warning, final warning, employment terminated)?”. Transport for London (TfL) has a robust set of disciplinary processes which are in place to deal with breaches in standards, rules and procedures. Please note the following:
the data covers the period 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022 and is based on the information as recorded in our central reporting system;
the first table shows the number of cases broken down by reasons. The second table shows the number of cases broken down by outcome.
241 unique individuals had disciplinary cases raised against them in the year;
there were 258 disciplinary cases in total (meaning some employees had more than one case);
