Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 29 March 2017 asking for information about “Building a Better Finance”.

Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

The purpose of the Building a Better Finance programme was to transform Finance into a more agile, forward-looking and customer-focused finance organisation. The programme delivered enhancements to the performance cycle process, SAP system enhancements and increased capability for finance employees through the Finance Development Programme. To achieve the programme benefits, a mix of external support to the in house programme delivery team was required from Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) and Grant Thornton. The financial breakdown set out in the attached document outlines how much was spent on each element of the programme delivery, along with an overview of the services that were provided.
