Date published: 11 December 2019

Please could you supply a copy of the feasibility study into using the existing disused underground car park at Euston as a temporary taxi rank for the duration of the HS2 works, rather than concreting over part of Euston Square Gardens East?
We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-2662-1920
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 2nd December 2019 asking for information about the location of the temporary taxi rank at Euston during HS2 works.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Please could you supply a copy of the feasibility study into using the existing disused underground car park at Euston as a temporary taxi rank for the duration of the HS2 works, rather than concreting over part of Euston Square Gardens East?”.
TfL does not hold the information requested. The relocation of the Euston taxi rank is a High Speed 2 (HS2) obligation under the High Speed 2 Phase 1 Act. Any feasibility study into using the existing disused underground car park at Euston as a temporary taxi rank would therefore have been undertaken by HS2 rather than TfL. Furthermore, TfL has not received a copy of any such feasibility study.
Freedom of Information requests to HS2 can be made through its website via the following link:

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely,
