Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 19 January 2023 asking for information about drinking water refill stations. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require. Please see attached a list of fountains completed for the programme run by the Greater London Authority (GLA), filtered to those on the TfL estate (Column E). The GLA hold a master list of all fountains installed under the scheme which they managed. For more information or to see what information they hold please contact the Mayor’s office at [email protected].
All the fountains installed by GLA on TfL land remain owned by Thames Water (under contract to GLA) for the duration of their operation. We don’t hold any records of those which may be broken or temporarily unavailable.
Also attached is a list of fountains we hold for London Overground stations along with those installed in boroughs.
The TfL ones at London Overground Stations are maintained by their infrastructure maintainer or their agents / contractors. All are operational as far as we are aware.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
