You asked
Dear Sir or Madam,
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the following information:
The total cost to Transport for London of rebranding the bus routes X68, X26, 607 and X140 as SL6, SL7, SL8, and SL9 respectively. Specifically, I would like to know the following costs for each route:
The cost of changing signage onboard the buses that serve each route to reflect the new route numbers (on the front of buses, and the visual display/announcements onboard buses)
The cost of changing signage at the bus stops served by each route (both in terms of printing costs - e.g., maps - and labour costs)
I would like you to provide this information in CSV format, with figures for each bus route laid out in separate tabs.
Please e-mail me on X if you require any clarification.
Yours faithfully,
We answered
TfL Ref: FOI-2626-2324 Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on23 October 2023 asking for information about the cost of rebranding for Superloop bus routes. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require. The Mayor of London and TfL are committed to enhancing the bus network and supporting more Londoners to travel more sustainably. The Superloop network is a major expansion of outer London's network circling London and connecting town centres, hospitals, schools and transport hubs. This summer Superloop services launched, and customers are benefitting from frequency increases on the SL7 and an extension to the timetable for SL8, providing more early morning and evening services. Improvements on many of the buses include improved customer information, USB charging and luggage racks, and some of the bus stop names changing to better reflect their locations. The branding and signage for the Superloop network is needed for customer information, and to aid journey planning. This is in line with TfL branding and information provided across the whole network. Please see the requested information in the below table:
