Could you please provide me information regarding the full time recruitment of train operators from your December 2016 internal campaign. I would like to know the following 1) how many people applied 2) how many people passed all assessments. 3) how many of the hired people have so far completed the training and how many have not yet started training.

Thank you for your email received on 6^th January 2019 asking for information about the recruitment of train operators as part of the December 2016 internal campaign.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Your questions are answered as follows:

Question 1: How many people applied?.

Answer: 2197

Question 2: How many people passed all assessments?

Answer: 367

Question 3: How many of the hired people have so far completed the training and how many have not yet started training?

Answer: 246 drivers have completed the training, 17 are currently in training and are waiting to pass, and 104 are waiting to commence the training.
