Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 17 January 2023 asking for information about London Underground Train Operator Release Time (Syndicates).
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold some of the information you require. Could you please supply me with data relating to LU Train Operators in respect of the following: 1. How many hours release time was granted for train operators to undertake mutual changeover of duties for other train operators (known as syndicates). Please can you provide data for the period 1 April to 30 September 2022. Piccadilly line depots only A total of 1,639 release hours were recorded as being granted during this period. There is no specific recording category on SAP for syndicates, and therefore some of these hours may have been for other reasons, but this is the most accurate figure we can provide. Arnos Grove has local arrangements in place, and it has not been possible to include them in the above figure. 2. How many trains were cancelled (Operator Not Available) due to syndicate release time. We do not record ONAs to this level of detail. Also the Piccadilly line is not currently recording individual ONA cancellations, and therefore the data is not available. If this is not the information you are looking for, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
