TfL Ref: FOI-2579-2122
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 6th February 2022 asking for information about the Tulse Hill Gyratory business case.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Following TfL Ref: FOI-1798-2021, please may I have a copy of the document you refer to when you say:
'We do hold a Tulse Hill Gyratory business case from 2019. It’s an unfinished working draft.'
I hope to meet with the project sponsor after the funding settlement is clear.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
A copy of the draft Business Case is attached. Please note that this is an early draft, written prior to the pandemic, and that there are gaps within it. The data used within the document is not up to date and aspects may no longer be relevant. Note also that some redactions have been made to the document under section 43 of the Freedom of Information Act, on the basis that release would be likely to prejudice the commercial interests of TfL. This relates to financial details about the estimated cost of various elements within the plan. We consider that the balance of public interest favours the application of the exemption in order to ensure that the best value is achieved in the spending of public money should any elements of the scheme go ahead. A redaction has also been made under section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act, where personal data (a signature) has been removed.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely,
