Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 12^th November 2024 asking for information about plug-in hybrid cars.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. 

Specifically you asked:

“Badging Plug in hybrid cars 2025: I would like to know that,Are we gonna be still be able to badging out plug in our vehicles from 2025”.

I assume you are referring to vehicle standards for Private Hire Vehicles (PHVs). Our current standards are up-to-date and available on the TfL website here:

There are no current proposals to changes to these standards in 2025. Whenever there are changes, we communicate these extensively online, through social media, in our quarterly magazine, weekly emails and engagement with trade representatives.
