From the Train maintainer campaign (029172) please could you give information on the following? How many people passed the mechanical & electrical test? Out of the people that passed this how many were male & female? What was the highest score? And how many people achieved that score? How many of these applicants that scored the highest were male & female?

TfL Ref: FOI-2558-2021 Thank you for your request of 15th March 2021 asking for information about Train Maintainer campaign 029172. Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Your questions are answered in turn below: From the Train maintainer campaign (029172) please could you give information on the following: How many people passed the mechanical & electrical test? Answer: 251. Out of the people that passed this how many were male & female? Answer: 245 male, 2 female, 1 not specified, 2 “prefer not to say”. Additionally, one person withdrew after the test. What was the highest score? And; And how many people achieved that score? Answer: A maximum of 99 could be scored for each test. 10 candidates scored 99 in the numerical test; 31 candidates scored 99 in the verbal test, and; 20 candidates scored 99 in the mechanical test. No candidates scored the maximum of 99 across all 3 tests. How many of these applicants that scored the highest were male & female? Answer: From the 54 candidates who scored 99 in one or more of the three tests, 33 were male, 2 “prefer not to say” and the remaining 19 were unable to be matched to a profile due to the data no longer being available.
