TfL's contract with sales agents

Request ID: FOI-2549-1920
Date published: 03 December 2019

You asked

I am writing to you in regards of the FOI request 1365-1920 I have submitted in August. In short I requested you to disclose the number of adverts on the TFL network sponsoring alcoholic beverages and unfortunately you did not have this information and to let me know how much funding you receive from companies sponsoring alcoholic beverages. I understand that this is due to your advert spaces being contracted to sale agents who directly deal with advertisers. However it is my understanding that the FOI states: "The power to obtain information from contractor depends on the precise terms of contract. If it requires records to be kept then information has to be disclosed by the private firm." 1. Could you clarify if TfL's contract with sales agents does not require them to keep a record of what revenue they are making from each private companies ? 2. Could you disclose which sales agents you have contracts with ?
