How many sign posts were put up for it?
How much did it cost for the signs to be put up?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 4 February 2022 asking for information about ULEZ signs.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Environmental Information Regulations and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
For the ULEZ congestion zone introduced in October 2021:
How many sign posts were put up for it?
1483 new permanent signs were installed for the ULEZ expansion scheme. This number does not include existing road signs that were amended or upgraded for safety or informational purposes, nor temporary signs that were installed ahead of the scheme.
How much did it cost for the signs to be put up?
The estimated financial cost of material supply, installation of all signs, all indirect delivery costs and risk is c.£8m.
What contractor/company was awarded the work for putting up the signs?
The contractors used for this work were FM Conway, Ringway and Tarmac Kier Joint Venture TKJV.
