Hello, Please can you tell me how much TfL has paid activity app Strava AND transportation app Citymapper for access to their data?

Thank you for your email received by us on 30 November 2017 asking for information about the financial spend on Strava and transportation app Citymapper. Please accept my apologies for the delay in our response.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.

TfL works with a range of companies to improve the data we have available to help inform better decisions over the operation and planning of the city’s roads and transport network. In total, our expenditure on accessing data held by Strava is £138,253.74. We have not made any payments to Citymapper for access to their data.
