4. The estimate (if any) you have on the number of new homes that have
been built or are due to be built on the land and buildings that you

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 11 October 2023 asking for information about our assets and debts.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. Your questions and our replies are as follows.
Please note these answers are based on the TfL Group as a whole.
The current total of your General Fund debt.
Total borrowings for 2022/23
TfL Group £12,910.3m

Total interest payable on loans and derivatives for 2022/23

3. The total revenue you obtained from the sale of General Fund assets, including buildings and land, in the financial year 2022/23.
Capital receipts from the sale of investment property for 2022/23
TfL Group £82.5m

The estimate (if any) you have on the number of new homes that have been built or are due to be built on the land and buildings that you sold from your General Fund assets in the financial year 2022/23. Places for London (a subsidiary company of TfL, that is part of the TfL Group) sold 5 properties into its Joint Ventures during the year 2022/23 and there is currently planning permission for the following homes to be delivered over the life of the projects.For the sites below, Places for London has two strategic joint venture partnerships in place – one with Barratt London and one with Grainger plc (this partnership is also known as Connected Living London). These joint venture partnerships see Places for London work collaboratively with organisations to shape and bring forward a range of developments, often delivering the homes that the capital urgently needs, while making sure that schemes are designed on a site-by-site basis to ensure they benefit and take on board feedback from the local community as well.
