TfL Ref: FOI-2478-2425
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 2nd November 2024.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Deloitte UK visited Uber London Limited on 24 July 2019 and Uber demonstrated its system to them.
TfL were provided with a report written by Deloitte. Nearly 6 years has elapsed since that report it is now in the public interest to see that report.
I am asking for a copy of that report under a Freedom of Information request.”
I can confirm that we hold the information you require. However, the requested information is exempt from disclosure under sections 31 and 41 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. The rationale for this is explained in the response to a request for the same information, published on our website here:
https://tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transparency/freedom-of-information/foi-request-detail?referenceId=FOI-0655-2021
We consider the exemptions continue to apply to this information regardless of the time that has passed since the report was prepared for the same reasons set out in our earlier response. Section 41 – information provided in confidence – is an absolute exemption (i.e. when it applies there is no requirement to consider the public interest test). The report was provided to TfL in confidence and therefore this exemption continues to apply.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely,
David Wells
