Please would you be able to provide me with data on the total number of times the Blackwall tunnel has been closed between 2022 and 2023. Data for both directions would be very helpful.
I have looked on your website but couldn’t find information on this.

Thank you for your request received on 10 October 2023 asking for information about the Blackwall Tunnel.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.
Please find attached data on Blackwall Tunnel closures for 2022 and for 2023 up to 9 July for both tunnel directions. Unfortunately, our access to the data after this date was removed so we no longer have access to the data after that date. Please note that all over-height vehicle events have been included as they trigger a tunnel closure plan.
