Bus route 86 EVs

Hi there, do you have a specific date when the new EVs will come into the 86 route? I’ve seen somewhere it said in December 2023 but do you have a more specific date when it’ll come out plus how many EV buses are coming onto that route?

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8 October 2023 asking for information about buses on the 86 bus route.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold the information you require.
 
Currently, we anticipate that the conversion of Route 86 to electric will take place in the first quarter of 2024 (namely January to March). We anticipate that there will be 34 vehicles.
