You asked

Recently, there appear to have been changes to the morning running of Train 60 on the Central Line, scheduled to depart eastbound from White City at 0803 on trip number 4. Could you please confirm: 1. Why the train has not been running as scheduled towards the end of November 2017; 2. Whether this change is temporary or permanent; and 3. What is the revised timetable for trains departing White City between 0745 and 0915 on weekdays.

Thank you for your request received on 27 November 2017 asking for information about the Central Line.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm we hold some of the information you require. You asked:

1. Why the train has not been running as scheduled towards the end of November 2017
2. Whether this change is temporary or permanent; and

There has not been any change made to the running of this service. We have checked the performance for this train at its first station after leaving White City for the twenty weekdays since Wednesday 1 November 2017. This train was cancelled on Wednesday 15 November 2017 due to no train stock being available. It was also more than 10 minutes late on three more days, including instances of running 35 and 41 minutes late on the 9 and 27 November respectively. There was a signal failure incident at White City on 9 November and a track circuit failure at Bank on 27 November which would have impacted its previous Westbound trip. The changes in the running time are not permanent and we expect normal service to operate barring any further incidents.

3. What is the revised timetable for trains departing White City between 0745 and 0915 on weekdays.

WTT69 has continued to operate throughout the period (it was introduced in August 2016) and no change is planned before October 2018.
