As a member of staff working in TfL I understand there is a cost implication every time a department within TfL has a recruitment drive.

Our ref: FOI-2401-1920/GH
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 8 November 2019 asking for information about recruitment costs.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy.
Unfortunately we do not hold the specific information you require, as there are many factors involved, and the specific costs are not recorded information.
We would have to factor in the consultants time, cost of systems like Taleo and any external media or recruitment companies involved, however, as a rough estimate we believe the average cost would be around £1000.00 per hire.
Whilst we are unable to provide you with further information under the Freedom of Information Act, if you have any further questions we can put you in touch with a Recruitment Manager in HR who may be able to assist you further.
If you are not satisfied with this response please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely
