A significant section of the footpath along the High Street in Central Ealing is currently closed for road works by TfL.
Please can you provide details of the work being carried out and how much it will cost.

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 16 December 2022 asking for information about works carried out at Ealing Broadway.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and our information access policy. I can confirm that we do hold the information you require.
The cost of these works was £268192.30. The work was a full modernisation of the signals as the current signals were at the end of their life, normally the signals have to be replaced every 15 to 20 years dependant on the amount of faults etc.
The works included Signals, Poles, Ducting, Drawpits, NAL sockets, NAL Controller Base - basically everything to do with the signals has been replaced.
