QSI data on EWT and % departing on time
Request ID: FOI-2382-2021
Date published: 09 March 2021
You asked
Could I please make a new FOI for the following data.
For all high-frequency (non-timetabled) day routes managed by TfL in London. For all unique route* direction*stop_code combinations at QSI points, could I request the excess weight time (EWT) for all reporting periods covering January 2018 to the most recent data available. This is likely around 40 reporting periods for (I estimate) approximately 6000 route* direction*stop_code combinations, i.e. 240,000 EWT values in total.
For all low-frequency (timetabled) day routes managed by TfL in London. For all unique route* direction*stop_code combinations at QSI points, could I request the % departing on time for all reporting periods covering January 2018 to the most recent data available. This is likely around 40 reporting periods for approximately 2000 route* direction*stop_code combinations, i.e. 80,000 percentages in total.
Having this data in csv or similar format would be ideal. I appreciate there may be some route* direction*stop_code combinations that did not exist in February 2021 but did exist in the previous 3 years. Data for these could either be included or excluded, whatever is easiest.

TfL Ref: FOI-2382-2021
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 19 February 2021, asking for QSI data on excess weight time (EWT) and % departing on time.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold some of the information you require.
Please find the requested data attached.
The data provided is for high and low frequency standard routes (school routes and rail support routes are not included). The data is grouped by reporting periods (13 four-week periods a year) and is grouped by QSI point, direction and route.
As our database contains only two years’ worth of this data, we were only able to include data between 02/02/2019 and 05/02/2021 (26 full periods). No detailed 2018 data is available any more.
Both EWT and % on time figures are based on full service (from the first trip up to the last trip on each day).
If you are considering submitting a further request please think carefully about whether the request is essential at this current time, as answering FOI/EIR requests will require the use of limited resources and the attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. Where requests are made, please note that our response time may be impacted by the current situation.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable to access it for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely
