Our Customer Services team have passed over the element of your request of 26th September 2023 asking for recorded information about bus collisions (detailed below). Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“Please also provide official data as to exactly how many TfL buses have been involved in RTA?s over the last six months”.
I can confirm that we hold the information you require.
TfL proactively publishes data on buses involved in road traffic collisions on our website here:
See pages 2 and 3 of the report for the data. You can use the filters at the top of the page to view collisions only – i.e. at the top left of page 2 you can set the filter titled “Incident type” to “collision”.
Data is currently provided to the end of June 2023 (you may need to scroll across using the bar at the bottom of the graph to see the most recent data). The dashboard is updated every 3 months with the latest available data.
In accordance with section 21 of the FOI Act, we are not obliged to supply you with a copy of the requested information as it is already accessible to you elsewhere.
