How many times per year are penalty notices issued to foreign registered cars or motorcycles because they did not register before traveling through the low emission zone? How many of these resulted in the recipient paying the penalty?

Thank you for your request received on 22 November 2017 asking for information about penalty charge notices (PCNs) issued to foreign registered cars or motorcycles who entered the Low Emission Zone (LEZ).

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and TfL’s information access policy.

We do not hold the information you have requested as cars and motorcycles are not subject to LEZ. Information about which vehicles are affected is available on our website:
