TfL Ref: FOI-2367-2425
Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18th October 2024.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“My brother ( who is now deceased) worked for the london cycle hire scheme , and I would like any information that they hold on xxxx from 1st Oct 2022 to the priest day .
This request is to assist with the legal tribunal that I am now taking forward on his behalf for unfair dismissal from the company . I have been granted permission by the court to act on my brothers behalf and take the matter forward with the help of the RMT .
I would also like a copy of attendance at work procedure for London cycle hire scheme from Oct 22 . Also if any changes have been made to that policy , new copies and dates of new policy implementation please”.
I am afraid that TfL does not hold the requested information. According to our HR records (which date back to at least 2010) your brother was not an employee of TfL. It may well be that he was employed by the contractor of the Cycle Hire team, Serco (see here: https://www.serco.com/uk/sector-expertise/transport/cycle-hire/london-cycle-hire), in which case you will need to liaise with that body directly.
Regarding your request for a copy of the Attendance at Work policy, I can supply you with a copy of TfL’s policy, if it is of use to you, but note that this will not have been the policy that your brother was subject to as he was not a TfL employee. Please let me know if you would like a copy of the TfL policy in any case.
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal.
Yours sincerely,
David Wells
