Thank you for your further request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 18th January 2022 asking for information about staff in the HR department working reduced hours due to illness from Covid.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.
Specifically you asked:
“How many members of staff in the last year in the HR department have done or are doing reduced hours due to illness after contracting covid or post covid or long covid.”
As explained in our earlier response, there were no such changes to working schedules or hours recorded on our central reporting system. That answer was caveated with the fact that such information may have only been held at the local level between individual managers and the staff they manage. In response to your latest request we have therefore sought the information from individual managers in the HR department (this is a time consuming process but is possible within the FOI costs limit in this instance given the relatively small numbers involved). Via this process I can confirm that there are no records held of any staff in the HR department doing / having done reduced hours due to illness after contracting Covid-19. However, it was reported that for two members of staff a verbal agreement was made for a reasonable adjustment via a short-term reduction in hours.
