FOI request detail

PCN

Request ID: FOI-2358-1617
Date published: 08 March 2017

You asked

How much money was made from PCNs issued to motorists regarding 46-50 High Street SM3 from 2015/16? What measures are you putting in place to improve signage as the most (of not all) of these PCNs will be due to poor or misleading signage/road markings? No one would go into that parking bay if they knew they'd be fined.

We answered

TfL Ref: 2358-1617

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 25 February 2017 asking for information about how much money was made from penalty charge notices (PCNs) issued to motorists regarding 46-50 High Street SM3 from 2015/16.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can confirm that we hold the information you require.

The amount received from fully paid PCNs in 2015 and 2016 at this location was £349,952.

We have reviewed the signage and believe it is adequate to alert drivers to the fact that it is a loading and disabled bay and meets statutory requirements.

If this is not the information you are looking for please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
